At Anthology, we get musicians. That's because we're made up of them. Our founder is a GIT graduate and lifelong musician who just happens to be both a musical and visual artist. During his 15 years in the design industry, he honed his talents as that thing called creativity weaved itself seamlessly in and out of his other love – music. And as creativity typically does, it sparked an idea - to create the best instrument straps and gig bags out there. But they needed to be perfect. Perfectly designed both aesthetically and functionally. And so he thought about it – for years. Spinning the idea around in his head. Turning it over again and again. Letting it sit and come almost to completion in his brain. Until it was time to take it out, and to create it. And so he did. That's the day Anthology was born.

It was also the day that he no longer had to drop $5,000 on a '73 Tele only to hang that tone god over his shoulder with a $50 piece of nylon covered in lightening bolts.

Design: Each of our designs has its own inspiration. In fact, our philosophy is that everything starts with design. So the aesthetics of our gear wear is part of what makes it superior. Every cut, stitch and rivet. And our commitment to detail is uncompromising. That means if it doesn't look right, we throw it away. But that doesn't mean each product isn't unique. Our full-grain leathers still have their natural marks and scrapes and scars. So our bags have loads of raw, rugged personality. And they only look better with use.

Quality: We choose quality over quantity every day. Our hand-rubbed, hand-assembled straps and bags are the finest on the market. We use two thick layers of the absolute finest quality full-grain leathers in the world. We're so sure they'll stand up to whatever you throw at them that we warranty them for life. Comfort: Here's one of the best things about our straps and bags. They get more comfortable as you use them. That's because we use strong and durable full-grain leathers that, once broken in, form-fit to perfection – like a great saddle.

It's our philosophy that you don't have to sacrifice durability for comfort. So between a top layer of rugged full-grain leather, and a bottom layer of ultra soft full-grain leather, we add high-density premium padding at the shoulder area to maximize comfort without sacrificing strength.
